How can I check the status of an order placed online?

You may check the status of the order in My Account. If you do not have an account, you can request the status of your order by emailing customer service at orders@lavenderandmustard.com with your order number and zip code.

How can I change or cancel my order?

Orders placed for future shipment can be cancelled or changed by emailing customer service at orders@lavenderandmustard.com seven business days prior to the requested ship date of the order (during the month of December, we require ten days prior notice).

How do I include a gift message?

With any gift order, we will be happy to print your gift message on the packing slip at no extra charge. When placing an online order, you will be given the opportunity to add a message during check-out.

Can I purchase or redeem a gift card online?

Digital gift cards can be purchased and redeemed on our website. You may purchase Lavender & Mustard gift cards online, and to redeem your gift card, simply enter the number in the gift card box at checkout.

Is there an expiration date for a gift card?

No. You can redeem your gift card at your convenience.



How do I suggest a new item?

If you have a suggestion for a new item that you would like to see in our offerings, please feel free to send us an email or message us on Facebook.

How long can my purchase be kept frozen?

Products are generally good for 3 months if kept wrapped in an airtight container/bag. The products must remain frozen. Once thawed, follow instructions on the preparation label. We cannot guarantee the quality of items held for longer than 3 months in the freezer.

Can I prepare my order in the microwave?

The directions provided with your product and also available online, are complied so that the best end result for your product is achieved.

What is blast freezing and why do you use it?

Blast freezing is intensive cold that has the ability to avoid moisture migration and provide you with a product that eats like fresh.



Any issues regarding product temperature or thawing when delivered need to be reported to orders@lavenderandmustard.com by midnight on the day of delivery.

How is my order packed?

Orders are packed in styrofoam coolers with dry ice or gel packs. Please do not touch the dry ice directly, it is caustic and can burn the skin.


What if there is no dry ice?

Dry Ice is frozen carbon dioxide. Unlike most solids, it doesn’t melt into a liquid, but instead changes directly into a gas. This process is called sublimation. If there is no dry ice visible in the cooler, feel the product. If the product is cool, place it in the freezer or follow instructions for preparation. If the product is thawed, contact orders@lavenderandmustard.com. We may arrange to have the package picked up by Federal Express.

How do I dispose of dry ice?

Place the styrofoam cooler outside or in a well-ventilated container and it will evaporate.

Recommendations for Recycling Styrofoam coolers?

There are many ways to reuse your Styrofoam cooler; here are a few suggestions for our customers.

  • Check with your local recycling center to see if they accept styrofoam
  • Use to store holiday decorations
  • Donate to local Meals on Wheels
  • Keep in your car to transport frozen groceries
  • Break up and use in the bottom of large planters to take up space so you won’t have to use so much dirt
Are your products shipped frozen?

Yes, all of our products are shipped frozen. Dry ice may evaporate prior to arrival at your door. This is perfectly normal, as long as the product is cool to the touch simply store in the freezer.

Can I place an order now and have it delivered at a later date?

When you order online you can specify a later ship date during checkout.

What are the policies and procedures for cancellations, returns, and exchanges?

In the unlikely event that you are not satisfied with your purchase, please email Customer Service within 3 business days of receipt. We will evaluate each scenario on its merits. We cannot accept returns and will not refund orders that are refused when delivery attempts are made, orders with incomplete or invalid addresses, or orders sent to recipients not available to accept the packages in a timely manner on the day that it arrives.

How does Lavender and Mustard manage food safety?

We are SQF level 111 Certified. In addition to that, the U.S.D.A. regulates all meat and poultry production, while the FDA regulates production of seafood and other non-meat items on a daily basis in our facility. Our facility is fully HACCP compliant and is also inspected annually by independent food safety audit companies. We have comprehensive systems in place to ensure wholesome food and quality.
